A one-hour walk through a limestone canyon so dramatic it feels designed — walls of rock closing in on both sides, birds overhead.

A short but dramatic limestone gorge cutting through mountains west of Turda, hikeable end-to-end in about an hour along the canyon floor. The towering rock walls create a spectacular enclosed world of mosses, ferns, and nesting birds. Rock climbers also use the gorge extensively, and the trail passes through sections where the walls narrow dramatically overhead.
