Werner March's monumental 1934 Olympic Stadium, one of the most ambitious Nazi-era architectural projects, rebuilt and refurbished in 2004 with new roofing and lowered playing field. The surrounding grounds form an expansive complex of athletic facilities. The stadium's travertine-clad grandeur is both imposing and historically loaded.
